On February 25, the Monterey Institute Center for Advising and Career Services will host its annual career fair in the Monterey Conference Center’s Serra Ballroom from 9:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.

The career fair will draw over 90 employers to the Monterey Bay to offer an array of networking and employment opportunities for Institute students and alumni. Partnerships with these organizations allow MIIS students to continue their quest to “Be the Solution.”

Samuel Worthington, CEO of InterAction and MIIS Alumni, will be the keynote presenter at this year’s fair. InterAction is the largest alliance of U.S.-based international nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) focused on the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people. Mr. Worthington will start the event off at 8:30 a.m. in the Institute’s Irvine Auditorium with a talk about international careers.

During the fair, four panel discussions featuring employers, alumni and faculty will be offered, on these topics:

  • Launching your Career Search
  • How to Differentiate Yourself
  • Advanced Job Search Strategies
  • Security Careers in Government

Students and alumni can prepare for the event by attending preparation events, researching the organizations attending and reading all about the fair online. This is a closed event for the Monterey Institute community; students should be prepared to show their student ID and alumni should RSVP with the alumni office.

The Center for Advising and Career Services is still accepting employer participants for the event.
