Guiding Students Through a Cultural Journey

Before coming to the Monterey Institute (MIIS), Alisyn attended the University of Oregon, Robert D. Clark Honors College, and earned her B.A. in International Studies and Spanish in 2009. When she came to MIIS, she already knew she wanted to continue working in international education, but needed more tools, networking, and experience in order to advance in the field. A project for Alisyn’s marketing and recruitment class led her to the position she currently holds as a Marketing Manager.
“I am responsible for managing the enrollment process for five different language programs. I am also responsible for implementing strategic marketing and recruitment plans for our programs, including managing our websites and social media presence. Working with each program Director and our administrative staff, I guide prospective participants to the language program that will best meet their needs and goals. The Monterey Institute is known worldwide as an internationally-focused, language learning centered, higher education institution. As the external-facing presence of our nondegree language programs, I am proud to represent MIIS.”
