12. Is there financial aid available for the FMS program?
There are a limited number of merit-based full and partial scholarships for the FMS training and field program. All applicants (current students and non-students) are eligible to apply for scholarships. Please indicate that you would like to be considered for a scholarship in the online application.
10. What field opportunities are available?
The FMS Field Program is an immersive professional learning program in which the participants complete a six-month professional assignment with an organization to utilize FMS skills in the field. Those seeking academic credits must complete a research project in addition to the professional assignment and work under the supervision of an FMS program faculty member. Successful completion of the research project warrants 6 credits on a pass/no-pass basis. The tuition for the FMS field program without academic credits is $6,000. The tuition with 6 credits is $9,600 (FY 2011/2012).
9. Can I receive academic credit for the FMS training program?
The FMS training program is available for 1-6 credits on a pass/no-pass basis. The FMS field program is available for 6 credits. It is the participant's responsibility to verify whether the credit receiving institution accepts the credits from the Monterey Institute of International Studies.

Summer applications are due by April 1 (Early Admission Deadline: March 1). Winter applications are due by November 1 (Early Admission Deadline: October 1).

2. When is the Frontier Markets Scouts training program offered?
The training problem is typically offered two times a year, in January as well as in May/June.
