Amb. Alan Wm. Wolff

Ambassador Alan Wolff has a distinguished career of public service that spans the fields of international trade, legislative and public policy and litigation with a special emphasis on the renewable and clean energy industry. He currently leads Dewey & LeBoeuf's International Trade Practice Group, which has been credited with helping to open international markets for American products including semiconductors, computer parts, telecommunications equipment, soda ash and forest products, consumer photographic film and paper, and insurance and other services. Philip J. Murphy

Dr. Murphy earned his PhD in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh, where he recently held the position of Senior Policy Fellow at the Matthew B. Ridgway Center for International Security Studies. He has taught distance education courses in a Master of Public Policy and Management program targeted at mid-career public and private sector professionals in Macedonia.

Bruce Paton

Bruce Paton serves as Chair of the Fisher International MBA program, and teaches courses on sustainable business, corporate social responsibility, and global business strategy.

His research focuses on business strategies and public policies for sustainability. A major emphasis in this research is development of methods for designing and evaluating voluntary and collaborative initiatives to address social and environmental issues in management.

Sandra M. Dow

Dr. Sandra M. Dow has taught at the University of Quebec at Montreal (Canada), Concordia University (Canada), Wake Forest University (USA), Saint Mary's University (Canada), and Warsaw School of Economics (Poland).  During her academic career she has taught a range of courses including:  Corporate Finance, International Finance, International Investments, Corporate Governance, and Money and Banking.

Jing-Dong Yuan

Professor Yuan is Director of the East Asia Nonproliferation Program, as well as a senior consultant to the CNS Education Program and an Associate Professor of International Policy Studies at the Monterey Institute. A graduate of the Xi'an Foreign Language University, People's Republic of China (1982), he received his Ph.D.

Lyuba Zarsky

Professor Zarsky has substantial professional experience in the field of economics and sustainable development. She was Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Nautilus Institute for Security and Sustainability (1992-2001) and staff economist on the Commission for the Future for the Government of Australia (1989-1991). She has consulted for agencies such as the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, Asian Development Bank, United Nations Development Program, and the Government of Australia since 1991.

Fred L. Wehling

Fred L. Wehling is Associate Professor and Learning Innovations Coordinator at the Monterey Institute. Wehling received his B.A. in International Relations, Political Science, and Russian from the University of Southern California in 1985, an M.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1987, a Ph.D. in Political Science, from UCLA in 1992, and a Masters of Instructional Science and Technology from California State University Monterey Bay in 2006.

Jim Williams

Jim Williams has worked in the energy and climate change field for more than 20 years, as an academic researcher, teacher, consultant, and practitioner.

William C. Potter

He has served as a consultant to the Arms Control and Disarmament Agency, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, the RAND Corporation, and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He has been a member of several committees of the National Academy of Sciences and currently serves on the National Academy of Sciences Nonproliferation Panel. His present research focuses on nuclear terrorism and forecasting proliferation developments.

Moyara De Moraes Ruehsen

Professor Ruehsen is an award-winning instructor, who has given guest lectures throughout the U.S. and overseas. She received three graduate degrees from Johns Hopkins University (MHS, MA, PhD) and then spent a post-doctoral year in 1993 at the University of California, Berkeley.  An economist by training and a certified anti-money laundering specialist (CAMS), she has since been teaching courses on international trade and finance, anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing policies.
