O mestrado em tradução ao português e gerenciamento de localização é um programa interdisciplinar de pós-graduação, e forma profissionais capacitados a trabalhar em tradução ao português, localização, gerenciamento de projetos e administração de negócios. Trata-se também de uma excelente oportunidade para adquirir experiência internacional e estudar nos Estados Unidos.

O programa de tradução e gerenciamento de localização está dividido em três áreas: tradução, tecnologia e localização e administração de negócios.

Tradução ao português

No componente de tradução do programa, os alunos aperfeiçoam habilidades de tradução do inglês ao português ao longo de quatro semestres, assim como a proficiência linguística e cultural com uma série de disciplinas obrigatórias e optativas.

We carefully examine both past academic performance and professional experience in assessing candidates for our programs. Each year we strive to enroll candidates with strong intellectual and professional backgrounds who will add to the diverse and international community on our campus.

To start the application process, please be sure to take the following steps:

  1. Read the application instructions which outline all materials - including transcripts, recommendations, statements of purpose, and language proficiency assessments.
  2. Review our admission requirements before applying, particularly the foreign language proficiency requirements.

We offer a wide variety of scholarship opportunities for applicants to our master's and bachelor's degree programs. These opportunities include merit scholarships, summer language scholarships and scholarships related to service in the Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, Fulbright, JET and more!

Merit Scholarships

Both U.S. and international students are eligible for Monterey Institute Merit Scholarships to our master's and bachelor's degree programs. You will automatically be considered for a merit scholarship, if you submit your application by one of our priority scholarship deadlines. No additional application materials are required.
