Types of Financial Aid

Loans

You may apply for U.S. federal and/or private education loans to help pay your tuition and living expenses. International students are only eligible for private loans, with a U.S. co-signer, and may be able to receive education loans from their own countries.

About Our Conference Interpretation Program

Conference interpretation enables participants in a multinational meeting to communicate with one another in a seamless fashion, making the language barrier almost imperceptible. Our MA in Conference Interpretation program trains you for this career, preparing you to interpret in two modes: consecutive and simultaneous.

Our Translation Program

Anything that is written is a potential translation assignment. The MA in Translation program prepares you to translate treaties, laws, or press releases; user manuals, bidding specifications, or engineering plans; novels, poems, or plays; handwritten letters, medical textbooks, or historical documents; and much more!

The software and localization industry also relies heavily on translators to adapt programs and user manuals to other linguistic and cultural environments.

Our Translation and Interpretation Program

The MA in Translation and Interpretation program prepares you to work as a professional in both the translation and interpretation fields. Although interpretation and translation have much in common, the practice of each profession requires different skill sets.

Partner and Affiliation Scholarships

Alumni or members of our partner organizations and schools, including the Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, City Year, Fulbright, JET and many more, may receive a guaranteed scholarship award. You will also be considered for need-based and merit scholarship awards in addition to your partner or affiliation scholarship.
