MIIS Student Wins Student Innovator Award at Monterey Bay Regional Business Plan Competition
Monterey Institute student Jessica “Jessy” Bradish (MAIEP/MBA ’13) received the 2013 Student Innovator Award at the Monterey Bay Regional Business Plan Competition last Friday. ”Winning the Student Innovator Award was a wonderful culmination of my joint Masters in International Environmental Policy and Business Administration,” says Jessy.
Institute Community Mourns Passing of Longtime MBA Professor Harvey Arbeláez
The sad news reached Monterey late last week that recently retired MBA Professor Harvey Arbeláez passed away in his sleep on February 27 after a brave fight with cancer, surrounded by his family at home in Colombia. The Institute has again lost a valued community member and friend.

The residence of Samira Rahmatullah and Munir Alam (Midd’99) in Hillsborough served as a lovely backdrop for a casual salon gathering of 20. The evening was energized with conversations surrounding the Frontier Market Scouts program and multiple cross connections were discovered.
