Tami Weiss came to the Monterey Institute from just up the road at UC Santa Cruz where she majored in biology & environmental studies. Tami chose to study environmental policy at MIIS because of the international focus and the internship opportunities that come with her specialization.
Tami likes that she has the flexibility to customize her degree to her own interests and her favorite thing about the program is the professors.
“They’re all passionate about what they do and passionate about teaching,” she said. “That excitement really helps keep me excited about my own environmental interests.”
After she graduates, Tami plans on using her International Environmental Policy degree to change gender inequalities around environmental issues.
