Whether relaxing next to her tomatoes or watering her plants in between classes, Marisa Bowersox (MAIEP '11) is just one of dozens of students who enjoy their personal campus plot in the campus community garden. After breaking ground on a garden in Albania while in the Peace Corps, Marisa was inspired to build upon the work of previous environmental policy students and expand the Our Green Thumb garden into a place you can grow whatever you want.

I am an alum and adjunct faculty member at MIIS. In 1974 I recommended that the empty plot of land next to the then main campus be turned into a community garden and was literally laughted at. So, I am pleased that the garden now exists and am wondering what it would take for me to get one of the plots? Thanks Russ Howard
