Getting a Career in Green Business

Clayton shares what led him to pursue the dual degree option at the Monterey Institute.

Clayton Snyder (MBA '10) earned a dual Master's degree in International Business Administration and International Environmental Policy. He currently works at CBS Corporation as a Manager of their Environmental Projects.

Clayton is an environmental risk management strategist with over four years of corporate & non-profit experience. His background includes: energy analysis, emissions analysis, sustainability auditing & CSR reporting, compliance consulting, budgeting, strategic planning, and business development. He holds his undergraduate degree from UCLA.

Clayton was recently featured in the newest edition of Leading Business, a Net Impact publication. As a student at the Monterey Institute, Clayton took a very active role in creating a strategy to fulfill the Institute’s goal to become carbon neutral by 2016. He encourages other students to become involved in “greening” efforts at their schools because: “It’s a great way to gain sustainability management experience before you enter the corporate world.”
