Nicolai Banck: The Perfect Place to Get an MBA
August 9, 2010
One alum shares how the MIIS experience impacts his international business career ten years later.
As an aspiring businessperson, I was searching for a school located near and connected to Silicon Valley. Through the Copenhagen Business School, I started a 6-week program on Entrepreneurship at the Monterey Institute before completing the two year MBA program.
The program supported my academic interests - merging business with a cross-cultural environment - and prepared me for my future career. Following graduation, I lived and worked in Russia and then joined an international shipping and oil company. I had the opportunity to work and travel around the world, guided by my experiences with the Monterey Institute's diverse student body.
For me, the Monterey Institute was the perfect school. Even now, 10 years after graduating, I use part of what I learned both in and outside the classroom every single day.
And I did I tell you? It's probably one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited!
