Health Insurance

We require that students are covered by health insurance while enrolled at the Institute.  Students have the option to enroll in our student health plan or, they can choose a plan of their own.

The MIIS Student Health Insurance Plan

  • Enroll in the MIIS Student Health Insurance Plan.

    • Click on "Find your school's plans" and search for the "Monterey Institute of International Studies"

  • Waive the MIIS plan if you have private health insurance.

*Enrolling or waiving is required each semester and is to be done (not pending) by 4pm on the first day of classes. Students waiting for financial aid to pay for insurance must enroll in the plan or waive out of the plan within two weeks of picking up their refund check.

For more information about the MIIS Health Insurance Plan, please see the 2011-2012 Insurance Summary.

Private Health Insurance - Additional Resources

Health Plan One is an online health insurance marketplace for individuals, families, and small groups/businesses. It also serves as an educational source for all health care topics. They do not endorse one specific policy. Instead, they educate students on their options, both while currently enrolled and options for after they graduate.
