Student Council

The Student Council represents all Monterey Institute students and provides a forum to discuss concerns, interests, and ways to become involved in decisions affecting student programs and student life.

MIIS Student Council

The Student Council is comprised of a diverse group of students that represents all of the degree programs offered at the Monterey Institute as well as the many nationalities that are present on campus. Joining the Student Council is a great way to get involved in the campus community. Members have the opportunity to be the voice for their classmates and draw attention to issues or initiaties that are important to the MIIS student body.

The Student Council budget partially funds Student Clubs and many activities such as Social Hours, an annual Halloween party, and other events.  It also sponsors special programming and contributes to all-campus events such as the International Bazaar and the Follies Talent Show.

Academic Program Representatives are also given a budget to support activities that promote their graduate program's academic goals. The Adviser to the Student Council is the Director of Student Services. Students who would like to become involved are invited to contact the Monterey Institute Student Council President or the Office of Student Services for more information.
