All new students should come to the Welcome Center to check-in.

The new student Welcome Center is your place to check-in! It is also a one-stop-shop for all of your most pressing questions: housing, insurance, financial aid, academic advising and more! See below for schedule.

Students who may arrive on campus late, please see the following late arrivals policy.

Welcome Center Location, Dates and Hours

Location: Samson Student Center Reading Room (453 Van Buren Street)

Dates and Hours:

Sunday August 16th: 12pm-4pm
Monday August 17th: 10am-2pm

Late Arrivals Policy

Late arrivals must be in class by the first day of their scheduled classes of the second week of the semester. Exceptions to this policy can only be made by the Dean of the Graduate School for International Policy and Management or the Graduate School for Translation, Interpretation and Language Education.

Notification Process

Step 1
Notify your Academic Advisor and the Dean of Advising and Student Services immediately if you know you will be unable to arrive to campus for the start of classes.
Step 2
Your Academic Advisor will coordinate with the program chair and appropriate faculty.
Step 3
You will be notified by your Academic Advisor once they have coordinated your late arrival details with your school.
