Cycling in Monterey
Bicycles are a convenient, non-polluting and relatively inexpensive form of transportation, and it's not far-fetched to call the Monterey Peninsula a biker's paradise. Given that combination, many Institute students, staff and faculty depend on a bike as their primary means of transportation.

There are numerous stores in the area that sell or rent bikes, although the rentals are usually for short-term use only. Rental prices are subject to change, please call or check their web pages for more specific information.

Moodle Classified Section
Visit the Moodle Classified section to see if any MIIS students have bikes to sell. Log in with your own user name and password or log in as a guest. Click on "Community", then click on "Classifieds". From there you can select "For Sale/Wanted" - happy shopping!

If you want to get better acquainted with bicycles DIY style, but don't know where to start this is a place to go. The Bike Church is a bike repair shop where YOU learn from experts how to work on YOUR OWN bike. They provide you with tools, repair stands, knowledge, and occasional humor. Best of all, it's virtually FREE.
