Does the Monterey Institute have on-campus housing or dormitories?
Monterey Institute students have traditionally preferred to live independently in an off-campus setting. The Institute does not have dormitories, but many rental units are located within walking distance of campus. Approximately one-half of our students live within reasonable walking distance of the campus; the remainder lives within three to five miles of campus and either drive, bike, or take public transportation to campus. The Office of Student Services provides new students with the resources to conduct a successful, independent housing search through Housing Information Workshops, the Student Services website, online housing database, MIIS classified section, incoming student Facebook group and via one-on-one assistance by phone, email, and skype.
