Returning to graduate school while also being a parent can be a stressful endeavor. Here are some local resources to help ease that transition.
The North Monterey County School District serves all of North Monterey County, which includes the city of Salinas. Located approximately 30 minutes north of Monterey, Salinas is an easy commute to your classes.
Monterey Bay Kids is a great resource for finding fun activities to do with your kids in the area. It has information on family friendly beaches, parks, camps and other extracurricular activities that are available to you.
Being a student means that you will not always be able to spend all of the time you want with your children while you are attending classes. Below you will find some helpful information for daytime childcare should you need arrange this for your children.
Finding a pediatrician can be a challenge, especially when you have just relocated to a new community. Here are a few pediatricians in the community that MIIS students have taken their children to in the past. If you know of good pediatrician who is not listed here, let Student Services know.
