In Student Services we are committed to assisting all MIIS students with their transition to graduate school, including students who have their own families. Returning to graduate school while also being a parent can be a stressful endeavor. Here are some local resources to help ease that transition.
Primary and Secondary School Information
Monterey Peninsula Unified School District
The Monterey Peninsula Unified School District services the cities of Monterey, Seaside, Marina and Del Rey Oaks. For more information about the schools, primary and secondary, available in these areas please visit their website.
Pacific Grove Unified School District
The Pacific Grove Unified School District services the city of Pacific Grove. Pacific Grove is a lovely, quiet community to live in with one of the best public high schools on the Monterey Peninsula.
Carmel Unified School District
The Carmel Unified School District serves Carmel-by-the-Sea and the Carmel Valley. They have excellent public primary and secondary schools, and the location is not too far from the Monterey Institute campus.
North Monterey County School District
The North Monterey County School District serves all of North Monterey County, which includes the city of Salinas. Located approximately 30 minutes north of Monterey, Salinas is an easy commute to your classes.
