Zumba Fitness Classes

Zumba Fitness classes are free for MIIS students, faculty and staff. Classes will be held every Monday and Tuesday evenings from 4:45-5:45pm and Saturday mornings from 11am-12pm at Z Club Fitness, 465 Pacific Street, across from the Casa Fuente Building. All dates and locations are available on the MIIS Events Calendar.

There will be three types of classes offered - see below for descriptions and dates. For questions, please email student.services@miis.edu.

Zumba (Mondays, 4:45pm beginning 9/1)

Zumba classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Before participants know it, they’re getting fit and their energy levels are soaring! There’s no other fitness class like a Zumba Fitness-Party. It’s easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating, often building a deep-rooted community among returning students.

POUND (Tuesdays, 4:45pm beginning 8/26)

POUND is a full-body cardio jam session, combining light resistance with constant simulated drumming. The workout fuses cardio, Pilates, isometric movements, plyometrics and Isometric poses. Burn between 400 and 900+ calories per hour, strengthen and sculpt infrequently used muscles, and drum your way to a leaner, slimmer physique – all while rocking out to your favorite music!


Corebar (Saturdays, 11am starting 8/30)

A total body, high intensity, interval-based cardio and conditioning program, guaranteed to get you in the best shape of your life! Non-stop movement... non-stop sweat, COREBAR™ is intense, energetic, playful, diverse, deliberate, focused and... FUN. Each class leaves you exhilarated from the experience and already looking forward to the next one!
