Zumba Fitness Classes

Zumba Fitness classes are free for MIIS students, faculty and staff. Classes will be held every Monday and Wednesday evenings from 4:45-5:45pm and Saturday mornings from 11:15am-12:15pm at Z Club Fitness, 465 Pacific Street, across from the Casa Fuente Building. All dates and locations are available on the MIIS Events Calendar.

There will be three types of classes offered - see below for descriptions and dates. For questions, please email student.services@miis.edu.

Zumba (Mondays, 4:45pm)

Zumba classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Before participants know it, they’re getting fit and their energy levels are soaring! There’s no other fitness class like a Zumba Fitness-Party. It’s easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating, often building a deep-rooted community among returning students.

POUND (Wednesdays, 4:45pm)

POUND is a full-body cardio jam session, combining light resistance with constant simulated drumming. The workout fuses cardio, Pilates, isometric movements, plyometrics and Isometric poses. Burn between 400 and 900+ calories per hour, strengthen and sculpt infrequently used muscles, and drum your way to a leaner, slimmer physique – all while rocking out to your favorite music!

CardioKick (Saturdays, 11:15am)

CardioKick is a combination of dance and martial arts that will undoubtedly improve your endurance and cardiovascular fitness, tone muscles and shred your abs if you practice consistently with power and precision. Most of all, CardioKick is fun!
