Tools of the Trade Course
We are committed to educating our students in the fundamentals of science and math skills.
Tools of the Trade is a two-week summer intensive course in science and math skills for incoming and continuing students. It is designed to provide the essential foundation that will allow students to optimally benefit from International Environmental Policy core course IPOL 8512 Quantitative Analysis for Environmental Science and Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies gateway course IPOL 8559 WMD Science and Technology, as well as other courses in both programs requiring math and science skills.
Tools of the Trade is strongly recommended for students with limited background in chemistry, physics and math enrolled in the following degree programs:
Tools of the Trade Intensive Course
The next Tools of the Trade course will be offered for two weeks during August 2012. New students should submit the
Registration Form with payment to the Records Office in the Casa Fuente Building. You may submit the form via fax, email, or in person.
If you are a continuing student, please sign up for the course via Banner Web during the Summer and Fall semester registration period.

Students will receive additional instructions from the professor on how to access WebAssign, an online course management tool, including access to the course text. There is a $40 charge for WebAssign. No refunds or cancellations are permitted after Friday, August 11, 2012. |
