Lost and Found

Security manages all lost and found items on campus. To turn in recovered items or reclaim lost items, visit the Security Office at 460 Pierce Street.

On-campus parking is available for faculty, staff, and students who live more than 1.5 miles from campus.

Reporting Illegal Activities

Reports are filed to responsible staff and/or law enforcement:

  • All activity relating to crimes

  • Underage drinking

  • Unauthorized possession of alcohol on campus

  • Possession of weapons

Campus Security has access to criminal justice information systems records and routinely shares criminal investigations information with the Monterey Police Department, the Monterey County Sheriff’s Department, and other law enforcement agencies. Statistical information regarding criminal activity of a significant nature is maintained as required by the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the United States Department of Education.

Annual Security Reports

The Annual Security Report contains information and crime statistics for the three previous calendar years regarding crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the Middlebury Institute and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible to the campus. The report also contains information regarding campus security and personal safety topics such as crime prevention, fire safety, security department and local law enforcement authority, crime reporting polices, disciplinary procedures, and other information related to safety and security on campus. This information is provided by the Middlebury Institute Security Department in accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, 1990.
