We are an academic community committed to preparing innovative professionals, able to thrive in cross-cultural, multi-lingual environments. We are committed to a standard of excellence in student services and the quality of work expected of its employees.
At the Monterey Institute, we understand that our people are our greatest resource. To that end, our entire campus is a wealth of human resources; an inspired community of diverse individuals drawn to the Institute by a shared purpose to do work that has a positive and global impact.
Our Human Resources department is a progressive organization dedicated to fostering a productive environment in which to work and learn through open and affirming policies and practices. Inside the box, we have created an infrastructure for the Institute that provides standards and safeguards of employment, while outside the box, we create a culture that is open, affirming, receptive and supportive.
Our Guiding Principles
Students come first.
Their individual satisfaction with our programs, and their academic and professional achievement are the best measure of our success. In every decision, we seek to foster the student’s vision.
Our faculty and staff are our most important organizational resource.
We strive to recognize and develop each person’s contribution to the organization. We value the many experiences, cultures and abilities that create our community.
Quality is ensured and improved in an atmosphere of honesty and support.
We endeavor to improve the quality of our programs by assessing and improving processes that most affect student outcomes. We encourage innovation by promoting a free exchange of ideas at all levels and areas of our organization.
Be a significant and positive force in our community.
We provide exceptional academic programs to enable our students to become productive global citizens. By truly understanding our fellow citizens in other parts of the world, both culturally and linguistically, our graduates are positioned for prominence and impact on the world stage.
