Students have access to various networked printers set up for on-campus use via their network account. Each individual student account is allocated a non-refundable dollar amount each semester for printing. The current allocation is $100 per semester. This allows each student to print from 1,000 to 1,250 pages, depending on the use of one or two-sided printing. The standard cost per page is $.10, or $.08 per page if printing in duplex mode.
With each printout, a charge is calculated against the student’s account based on the number of pages printed and type of printing (single-sided or duplex). Students may print up to the allocated amount without incurring additional expenses. Once the amount is reached for a semester, students have the option to add additional 'printing dollars' to their printing account through the Business Office.
Every semester accounts are updated with the maximum allocation. Remaining funds are rolled over with the new allocation so that students can budget for printing of their final papers prior to graduation. |
