Fifty the Institute students gathered in the Irvine Auditorium to learn more about what it means to be a named scholar. Molly Laughlin from the Institute's Office of Institutional Advancement welcomed the students and shared some important numbers.
113: The number of named donor scholarship recipients at the Institute this year – roughly a seventh of our total student body.
34: The number of named scholarships established by donors to the Institute.
$760,000: The approximate total number of scholarship dollars available to our students annually as a result of named scholarships.
Tate Miller, Dean, Advising, Career, and Student Services, discussed the impact named scholarships have had on students throughout the years and shared important information about the upcoming February 2014 Career Fair.
The named scholars were encouraged to attend the annual Named Scholars Luncheon on April 11, 2014, where they will have an opportunity to meet their scholarship donors.
