Among the new Legacy Society members were Middlebury alumna Carolyn Tager, Susanne and Bill Tyler, ILC member Noel Lateef, and long-time MIIS faculty and staff members--Jan Black, Dayton Hughes, Gisele Kapuscinski, and Jeff Wood.
The luncheon's keynote speaker, Professor Emeritus Philip Morgan, a noted Africaphile with extensive work experience in Sub-Saharan and Southern Africa, delivered a presentation on the region's politics and culture.
Members of our Legacy Society provide support to the Institute through a bequest or life income gift. This type of long-term giving provides for generations of students and their teachers by building endowment and lasting funding sources.
In addition to knowing they will have a lasting impact on the Monterey Institute, members of the Legacy Society receive invitations to exclusive Monterey Institute events and a special membership pin.
