Kenley Butler is Director of Development at the Monterey Institute of International Studies. Prior to joining the Office of Institutional Advancement, Kenley was Assistant Director for Administration at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies.
Kenley joined the Monterey Institute staff in July 2000 after spending two years as an International Trade Specialist with the U.S. Commercial Service. He received a B.A. in Russian with a business minor from Brigham Young University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington, where he specialized in economics of the former Soviet Union. Kenley served with the first group of Peace Corps volunteers in Uzbekistan and conducted research on the privatization of Kazakhstan's telecommunications infrastructure at Almaty State University.
