Giving to the Monterey Institute
The Monterey Institute of International Studies is a community comprised of individuals who seek to become agents of change and architects of solutions to 21st century problems.
Whether it’s scholarship aid necessary for a student to attend class in Monterey, or funding for a faculty member to conduct field research, every endeavor requires financial resources.
Through participation in giving, we ask alumni and friends to help the Institute, and in particular its students and faculty, strive for and realize their aspirations. Our community's ability to thrive and have an impact on the broader world rests firmly in the Institute's financial strength.
Every Gift Makes a Difference
Your gift of any amount makes a difference for MIIS. Annual Fund gifts to the Monterey Institute under $5,000 added up to almost $90,000 last year alone. That's a lot of scholarships!
In addition, private donors, corporations, and foundations look at the percent of alumni and friends who support MIIS in any given year when considering a contribution ot the school, because this provides a measure of internal support for the Institute. This means a $20 gift and a $2,000 gift are meaningful because they both boost the percentage. Making an annual gift of any amount demonstrates your support for MIIS and makes a difference. Choose Where Your Gift Will Have an Impact
There are many ways to support MIIS: you can contribute to the Annual Fund, donate to a specific scholarship or academic program, or even directly support student learning opportunities, such as internships and other immersive projects. Regardless of your choice, you can be certain that your gift will have an immediate, tangible impact. Learn more about current giving initiatives and visit the giving form to direct your gift.
