Should I apply for outside scholarship?
Yes.  We highly encourage all students to apply for outside scholarships - there are numerous websites, organizations and companies that offer scholarships to international students.

Am I eligible for US Federal Aid?
No.  You must be a US Citizen and/or US Permanent Resident to apply for US Federal Assistance.

What is the FUHU International Alumni scholarship?

Can I apply for a private alternative loan to supplement my cost of attendance?
Yes.  But you are required by most lenders to provide a US or US Permanent Resident co-borrower.  The only lender we are aware of that will allow you to apply on your own is the Access Group, however, they require that you have at least three years of US Credit history with at least four different credit cards.  If you wish to apply for a private alternative loan, please contact the Office of Student Financial Planning.

Is financial aid available for the purchase of a computer?
Yes.  Our office can increase a student's financial aid budget for costs incurred for the purchase a computer, printer and software.  To apply for this type of budget increase, students will need to complete Computer Request Form.  This form is available in the Office of Student Financial Planning.  Note that the increase for the purchase of a computer is a one time increase, and all increases are made in the form of private alternative student loans.

What if I want to apply for aid midway through the academic year or term?
Am I still eligible?
Yes.  Financial Aid can be processed throughout the term or year, but not after the end of the term.
