Health Insurance

We require that students are covered by health insurance while enrolled at the Institute.  Students have the option to enroll in our student health plan or, they can choose a plan of their own.

Health Insurance Choices

  • Enroll in the MIIS Student Health Insurance Plan.
  • Waive the MIIS plan if you have private health insurance.

*Enrolling or waiving is required each semester and is to be done (not pending) by 4pm on the first day of classes to avoid a $100 penalty. Students waiting for financial aid to pay for insurance will not be charged the $100 penalty as long as they enroll in the plan or waive out of the plan within two weeks of picking up their refund check.

For more information about the MIIS Health Insurance Plan, please see the Insurance Summary 2009-2010Insurance Summary 2009-2010.

Private Health Insurance

Health Plan One is an online health insurance marketplace for individuals, families, and small groups/businesses. It also serves as an educational source for all health care topics. They do not endorse one specific policy. Instead, they educate students on their options, both while currently enrolled and options for after they graduate.
