The Monterey Institute of International Studies is an inspired place, both physically and conceptually, whose landmark architecture and compelling coastal landscape couple with our mission to provide a unique global-education experience that inspires future leaders and equips them with the practical skills, knowledge, and insights to make a difference in the world through interesting and satisfying careers.

Yet our true value lies in the people of the Monterey Institute, the faculty and students whose stories and achievements create that global experience and make a difference in the world. Presented in these pages are the highlights of accomplishment by the people and programs of the Institute.

FISHER GRADUATE SCHOOL OF INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS RANKS HIGH

On behalf of Entrepreneur magazine, the Princeton Review, a leading provider of educational services, surveyed more than 700 undergraduate and graduate business programs about their offerings in entrepreneurship. Schools that ranked high demonstrated a commitment to entrepreneurship both inside and outside the classroom and had faculty, students and alumni actively involved in and successful in entrepreneurial endeavors. In October 2006, the Fisher Graduate School of International Business was ranked 8th out of the top 25 graduate schools recognized for commitment to entrepreneurship and success in entrepreneurial endeavors.

INTERNATIONAL POLICY STUDIES MASTER'S PROGRAM RANKS HIGH

Foreign Policy magazine named the The Monterey Institute's International Policy Studies Master's Program to its Top 20 Master's Programs after a survey of international relations faculties at 1,199 U.S. four-year colleges and universities. The Institute, likely the smallest school among its peers, ranked No. 18, ahead of the University of Southern California and tied with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and only two schools behind (UC) Berkeley and four schools behind Stanford. The findings were published in the journal's March-April edition, "Inside the Ivory Tower" section.
