Applying to IPSS
Information Sessions
Students interested in learning more about IPSS are encouraged to attend a fall or spring information session. These one-two hour sessions familiarize interested students with the program, its expectations, and rigorous academic components.
The next information session for IPSS 2013 will be held on Tuesday, February 21 from 12:15-1:30pm in MG 100. The session will be recorded and posted online approximately two weeks after the session.

Writing tests for the IPSS 2013 program will be held in early April 2012. The writing test consists of a 15 minute presentation followed by a 40 minute memorandum writing excercise. All IPSS 2013 applicants will be notified by the IPSS Selection Committee by May 1, 2012.
Materials list:
- Outline of four semesters of completed and potential graduate coursework showing how the student plans to complete degree requirements and do IPSS. This can be done using degree maps (post in documents section of Zócalo).
- Undergraduate transcript*
(*only required if applying for program during first semester at MIIS; send to Carolyn Meyer)
- Personal statement (directed towards your top organization)

- Resume or CV

- Completed application form
- Contact details for three organizations (enter in online application), ensuring that information provided is specific to the department or program in the organization
