Our students gain valuable professional experience and field-specific knowledge through local and international internships.
Professional Development Opportunities
Our International Policy Studies program requires students to complete an Integrated Academic and Professional Project (IAPP) as a means to incorporate intellectual development and professional training. Through an internship or research assistantship, students demonstrate that they have mastered concepts and skills gained from classwork by applying them in a professional setting. This project is customized to the professional goals of each student.

The International Professional Service Semester (IPSS) is a professional immersion program where students serve in an internationally-focused organization while completing academic coursework. |

The Development Project Management Institute (DPMI) offers an academic and professional program, Development Practicum (DPMI Plus), designed for students with an interest in international development or project management. Students will apply DPMI tools, frameworks, and concepts in the field through completing work assignments for a particular organization. |
