Five Middlebury Institute alumni have been selected for placements around the world as part of the U.S. State Department English Language Fellows program.
New connections were made and old bonds strengthened as numerous Middlebury Institute alumni returned to Monterey to participate in the American Association of Intensive English Programs’ annual conference.
Middlebury Institute alumnae Sarah DeMola and Emily Quade, both Fulbright scholars and graduates of the Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages degree program, recently teamed up in Taiwan to launch the Fulbright English Teaching Forum.
Five recent graduates of the Middlebury Institute TESOL program found exciting job opportunities and adventures in Saudi Arabia, while enjoying the chance to experience life in a different culture together.
“Communicating culture is a large part of language teaching,” says Monterey Institute alumna Lama Nassif, the newest member of the Arabic Department faculty at Middlebury.
