Site Logistics
Parking
If you arrive by car, the Monterey Conference Center allows 10 minutes to unload at the front doors in Portola Plaza. After unloading, please park your car in the City's East or West Lots as marked on the Career Fair Parking Map. The East Garage is $7.00 all day (coins/dollar bills accepted). The West Garage is a block closer, but costs $10.00 all day. Thank you for adhering to the Conference Center parking policy.
Parking on the Monterey Institute campus is limited, but the following are hints to help you locate a spot for the reception that follows the Career Fair:
1) We will have open parking in Institute lots that day, on a first-come, first-served basis. Security will NOT walk the lots and ticket cars that do not have MIIS parking permits. We will have signs at the entrances to each Institute parking lot that day.
2) There are three City of Monterey parking lots around our campus: parking lot 4 at the corner of Van Buren and Franklin, parking lot 8 in front of Casa Fuente, and parking lot 7, which is across Pacific Street from Casa Fuente (Building #17 on the campus map). Lots 4 and 7 have ticket machines. Lot 8 is a partially metered lot.
Set-up
A six-foot table with two chairs and a tablecloth are reserved for each live recruiter/employer. Signs are also provided.
AV Service/Electricity
AV services can be ordered for a fee from Joe Lahiff at VAE Corp at 831-646-3757. Contact Larry Bell of Tricord Tradeshow Services for table electrical hook-ups at 831-883-8600.
