Catherine Grace Lee


Catherine has recently served as Vice President and Advisor to the CEO of EUKOR, headquartered in Seoul. EUKOR, formerly the car carrier division of Hyundai Merchant Marine, was acquired by Wallenius Lines and Wilhelmsen Lines in 2002.

Before serving as a member of the EUKOR management team, Catherine was a Vice President in the Mergers & Acquisitions practice at Schroder Salomon Smith Barney, now part of Citigroup, in London (1999-2002). Catherine played a key role on the Schroder Salomon Smith Barney deal team that advised Wallenius Lines and Wilhelmsen Lines on their acquisition of EUKOR.

Catherine also worked as an Associate in the Investment Banking division of JP Morgan, in New York, where she focused on providing corporate finance and strategic advice to natural resources, energy and mining companies as well as to government sponsored institutions (1996-1999). Catherine has also worked as a Program Assistant for ISAR, formerly the Institute for Soviet-American Relations, in both Washington, D.C. and Moscow (1993-1994) and served as a Research Assistant for Kim & Chang law firm, in Seoul, focusing on international trade and economic development issues (1992-1993).

Catherine earned her Bachelor’s degree in International Politics and Economics from Middlebury College (1992) and a Master’s degree from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University with a specialization in International Finance (1996). She speaks Russian, Korean, and Spanish and has studied Japanese and French.
