Dear Washington, DC area alumni:
I hope you will join me in thanking Jennifer for the outstanding work she does to bring our Monterey alumni community together in Washington. Jennifer periodically puts out a call for updates, suggestions for new meeting venues (including some great restaurants!), and articles for the DC local chapter newsletter, which so many of you read and enjoy. The more you contribute, the more these activities can grow.
We had an outstanding alumni reception, with thanks to our host Mr. Gene Theroux (Board of International Advisors member), on April 1, 2008. Attended by President Clara Yu and more than 75 DC area alumni, it was a chance to get together, hear about the many new and exciting changes on campus from the President, and network with other alumni.
Watch for more DC events in 2008, including the International Development practitioner alumni networking event in conjunction with the DPMI program (May 27th), a summer 2008 (date TBD) "US Department of State alumni mix and mingle" luncheon with fellow Middlebury State Dept.alumni, and the summer interns from both schools, and a fall picnic.
