The fellowships are competitive, merit-based awards open to all language Middlebury Language School applicants. This fellowship is available to U.S. citizens and international students and professionals for summer language study.

In the ninth year of this program, these fellowships are made possible by a $1 million gift from Kathryn Davis to address today’s critical need for more effective language proficiency. The award is to attend the Middlebury summer Language Schools in Middlebury, Vermont. Fellowship recipients will study a language through the Language Schools’ signature immersion model: "No English Spoken Here."

“Fellowships for Peace” recipients will be chosen on the basis of academic credentials, experience, and commitment to building a more peaceful world.

Candidates for 2015 may apply directly to Middlebury Language Schools. The deadline is January 15, 2015 and awards will be announced on March 13, 2015. There is a $75 application fee for this fellowship. Please see Middlebury Language Schools website for full details and application instructions.
