Beta Gamma Sigma Scholarship

Beta Gamma Sigma members can receive a scholarship for the advanced entry MBA degree.

We are proud to announce a unique scholarship for members of Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS). We offer qualified members a guaranteed $12,000-$16,000 annual scholarship toward our one year One Year (12-month) Fisher MBA in Global Impact Management.

About the Beta Gamma Sigma Scholarship

The Middlebury Institute has been associated with Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society since 2002. The Institute chapter of BGS selects the top 15 percent of the MBA class, based on cumulative GPA, to be inducted into BGS each academic year.   

We offer a scholarship to Beta Gamma Sigma members from any state or country who qualify for the One Year MBA Program, as detailed below. Our Beta Gamma Sigma scholarship ranges from $12,000 - $16,000 during the academic year plus additional scholarhip funds for the summer semester.

Eligibility

Beta Gamma Sigma members qualify for the scholarship if they meet certain eligibility criteria as determined by the admissions and scholarship committees.

Prerequisite Coursework

One Year MBA students must:

  • Have earned a bachelor's degree in business or
  • Have completed 15 credits of undergraduate coursework in Accounting, Economics, Marketing, Statistics and Finance with a grade of B or better and within the past 6 years or
  • Complete preparatory courses the summer before enrollment

Language Proficiency

Native English Speakers

You must complete at least 8 credits of advanced language study at the 200 or 300 level as part of our MBA program. Learn more »

Non-native English Speakers

Non-native English speakers must provide scores from either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examinations. TOEFL or IELTS scores may be waived on a case by case basis, if you have completed extensive academic work in English. Contact us, if you might be eligible.

Applying for the Beta Gamma Sigma Scholarship

In addition to the MBA application requirements, Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) members must identify themselves by writing a short (one paragraph) statement explaining their affiliation with BGS within the MBA essay required for the application.
