We are proud to announce a unique scholarship for members of Beta Gamma Sigma. We offer qualified members a guaranteed $12,000-$16,000 annual scholarship toward our one year One Year (12-month) Fisher MBA in Global Impact Management.
MIIS has been associated with Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society since 2002. The Monterey Institute chapter of BGS selects the top 15 percent of the MBA class, based on cumulative GPA, to be inducted into BGS each academic year.
We offer a scholarship to Beta Gamma Sigma members from any state or country who qualify for the One Year MBA Program, as detailed below.
Beta Gamma Sigma members qualify for the scholarship if they meet certain eligibility criteria as determined by the admissions and scholarship committees.
One Year MBA students must have earned a bachelor's degree in business or at minimum have completed 12 credits of undergraduate coursework in Accounting, Economics, Marketing and Finance with a grade of B or better and within the past 6 years.
Native English Speakers
Applicants must complete 8 credits of advanced foreign language at the 300 or 400 levels, depending on the language of study. Students pursuing French, Russian, Mandarin, Japanese, and English must enter at the 400 level, and students pursuing Arabic and Spanish must enter at the 300 level.
Non-native English Speakers
Non-native English speakers must provide scores from either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examinations. If a student feels that they are eligible for a TOEFL or IELTS waiver, they may contact Admissions for an application to waive this requirement.
In addition to the MBA application requirements, Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) members must identify themselves by writing a short (one paragraph) statement explaining their affiliation with BGS within the MBA essay required for the application. For the application requirements and the online application read the MBA in Global Impact Management admission requirements.
