Merit or Need-based Scholarships

Both U.S. and international students are eligible for our merit or need-based scholarships for our master's and bachelor's degree programs. To apply, submit our scholarship application »

Summer Language Scholarships

Learn a new language or improve your language skills by receiving a language scholarship to our Summer Intensive Language Program or Middlebury Language Schools for summer 2016.

$10,000 Legacy Scholarships

We offer guaranteed $10,000 Legacy Scholarships to extended family members of all Middlebury degree alumni for our graduate programs.

Partner or Affiliation Scholarships

If you're a member or alumnus/a of one of our partner organizations, such as Fulbright, Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, WorldTeach, and more, you may receive a guaranteed scholarship award.

Need-Based Grants

We also offer a limited number of need-based grants, ranging from $1,000 to $4,000 per academic year, to both U.S. and international students.

Types of Financial Aid

Loans

You may apply for U.S. federal and/or private education loans to help pay your tuition and living expenses. International students are only eligible for private loans, with a U.S. co-signer, and may be able to receive education loans from their own countries.

Work-Study

Both U.S. and international students are eligible to apply for work-study positions. These student employment opportunities may help you pay your living expenses, such as rent, food or entertainment.

U.S. Veterans' Benefits

We offer up to 100% tuition coverage for 75 qualifying U.S. veterans through the Yellow Ribbon Program each year.
