What internships or jobs have you had while attending MIIS?
While at MIIS, I’ve continued working as a Supply Chain & Social Projects Consultant for Traditional Medicinal, an herbal tea & health products company.
What are your career aspirations?
I want to work in supply chain engagement in developing markets. I have interests in renewable energy and impact investing, so I’d like to work with companies to develop comprehensive sustainability in their supply chain communities.
Do you have a personal mantra or quote you live by?
“Be excellent to each other” - Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure
Fun fact about you...
I lived for a winter in Rajasthan, India, working on a social business model for a traditional medicinal herb supply community, grew a beard, and never looked back.
If I was a food, I would be...?
Sriracha hot sauce - maybe an acquired taste, but then once you are in, it makes everything better.
What has been the highlight of your MIIS experience thus far?
The International Business Plan capstone project for my MBA was a great experience. Being able to work at a high level with such great classmates on a European market entry strategy for a major US firm was a great challenge.
Anything else you want to include?
I’m finishing up Mountains Beyond Mountains, a biography about Paul Farmer, an innovative infectious diseases specialist working on malaria in the developing world. It’s great!
