Monterey County Rape Crisis Center (MCRCC) 

Shortly after completing DMPI, She was hired as the Deputy Director of MCRCC while completing her final semester at MIIS. Her position is a diverse one requiring everything from strategic planning facilitation and managing twelve staff to accompanying survivors to the hospital for Sexual Assault Forensic Exams and chauffeuring child clients to therapy from school and back.

"DMPI's focus on thoughtful program development, particularly empathy mapping, has given me the tools and confidence to help shift the way the Rape Crisis Center conducts its current and future advocacy work. A piece of advice from DMPI that I always carry with me is to do good work and be a pleasure to work with."

In her current position, Auriel works to provide strategic research and analysis in line with the priories of the Gauteng Province. Through the development of strategic narratives and analytical inputs, she informs key departmental reports in strategic planning, annual performance planning, and annual reports. She also produces quality and credible performance reports to monitor departmental performance against targets.
