David Kyle was named in December 2011 to the newly-established position of Chief Operating Officer, responsible for loan origination, sales, human resources, systems, and customer service. David comes to Calvert Foundation with a long and well-traveled history of success in helping organizations get to the next stage of growth.
Prior to joining our team, David lived in Hyderabad, India where he founded the Indian School Finance Company (ISFC), a for-profit finance company that provides medium term debt capital to private schools serving very low-income families. The ISFC is the most recent in a string of start-ups David has led over the past 20 years starting with a full service commercial bank in Portugal, and moving on to building Citibank’s first intranet systems, establishing Save the Children in Brazil, and serving as COO and CIO of Acumen Fund, where he was responsible for building out the firm’s local operations in East Africa, India, Pakistan, and New York.
