Dr. Raj Aggarwal, CFA is the Sullivan Professor of International Business and Finance and former Dean of the College of Business Administration at the University of Akron. Before that he was the Firestone Chair in Finance at Kent State University and the Mellen Chair in Finance at John Carroll University. He has received teaching and research honors including university-wide distinguished scholar and distinguished faculty awards, also taught at Harvard, Michigan, and South Carolina.
He has worked at Dana Corporation and Owens-Illinois and is a member of the boards at Manco (Duck, Loctite, and Lepage brands) and Ancora Mutual Funds. Prior boards include Financial Executives Research Foundation, Flood Inc. (CWF brand), Hawken School, Fifth Third Maxxus Mutual Funds, Alchem Inc., Gooey.com Inc., and the BPM Forum. He has been a consultant to the US SEC, Comptroller of the Currency, the UN, the World Bank, and Fortune 100 and foreign companies. He is a Fellow of the Academy of International Business, has been a Senior Fulbright Research Scholar in Asia, and a Larosiere award for an essay in global finance presented at the 2000 Prague World Bank/IMF annual meetings. He is a graduate of Leadership Cleveland and attended the Indian Institute of Technology, Kent State University, and the University of Chicago, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
