Kathryn is a second-year student in the Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies Program. She currently specializes in national security policy and domestic terrorism. She is studying Spanish and is also interested in Latin American security issues. Other areas of focus include counterterrorism and cyber security. Originally from Chicago, Kathryn graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from Washington State University in 2012. During her time at Washington State University, she focused on national security and global politics. She plans to use these tools to work as an analyst after completing the Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies Program at the Institute. Kathryn is a past curriculum developer and teaching assistant for MonTREP.
