We kicked off the 2012 Religion & Gender Conference with our Keynote Speaker Hauwa Ibrahim, one of the lead attorneys within the Islamic Shariah courts in Nigeria. She has won a number of precedent-setting cases, promoting human rights for women of West Africa.
The Panel of Scholars & Practitioners included Sandra Cheldelin, Joseph Bock, Hauwa Ibrahim, Sally Kempton, Sujata Moorti, Fr. Cedric Prakash, Victoria Rue, Emile Sahliyeh, Mary Kay Schueneman, and Manisha Sethi.
