National Ocean Economics Program

The Center for the Blue Economy (CBE) has taken ownership of the National Ocean Economics Program (NOEP), which is the premier source for ocean and coastal economic data and analysis. The NOEP provides searchable databases containing the following types of data.

Market - Time series of ocean and coastal economic data for the U.S. coastal states, counties, and coastal regions

Natural resources - Energy, Food, Minerals, and Land

Population & Housing - Population and housing statistics for the coastal states and shoreline regions

Non-Market - Detailed annotated bibliography of non-market valuation research studies about the coastal regions and waters (search by author, title, geography, asset and other attributes)

Ports & Cargo - Marine-based foreign trade shipping volume and values

Government Expenditures - Historical data of federal marine expenditures for ocean and coastal activities collected from the U.S. Office of Management and Budget
