Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey

Social impact. It’s a popular buzzword these days that means using business principles and tools to drive transformational change at home and abroad.

At the Middlebury Institute social impact is an overriding philosophy central to virtually everything we do. Our social impact culture is one of the main reasons students wanting to earn an MBA in global business choose to earn their degrees here.

Our Top 25 Social Impact Ranking

The Institute is one of the top graduate schools in the world for preparing students to make significant social impact. In fact, the nonprofit organization Net Impact ranks the Fisher MBA in Global Impact Management program among the top 25 schools worldwide for social impact.

Our Changemaker Campus Designation

Ashoka U awards the Changemaker Campus designation to leading institutions in social innovation education. Our Institute is one of just 30 colleges and universities that have embedded social innovation as a core value across the entire institution—from admissions to curriculum, career services, and community and alumni engagement. The Changemaker Campus designation recognizes the Middlebury Institute as one of the most advanced in education for innovative social models and strategies. We envision higher education becoming the next global driver of social change through transforming the educational experience into a world-changing experience.
