MONTEREY FORUM

Launched in 2007, the MONTEREY FORUM provides a venue to discuss new trends in translator, interpreter and localizer (TIL) education. The fourth MONTEREY FORUM will take place March 28-29, 2015, at the Monterey Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California.

Educating Translators, Interpreters and Localizers in an Evolving World

March 28-29, 2015

The theme of MONTEREY FORUM 2015 is Educating Translators, Interpreters and Localizers in an Evolving World.

Technological advances and rapid shifts in economic, social and political conditions have changed the way translators, interpreters and localizers work, paving the way for new developments in TIL education.

MONTEREY FORUM 2015 will focus on innovation in curriculum and syllabus design implemented in the physical or virtual classroom by educators around the world to address these new trends and challenges. The ultimate goal of the conference is to reflect on how advances in pedagogy and technology are shaping TIL education.

Program details will be announced at a later date.
