Contact your Career and Academic Advisor to discuss incorporating a semester with Schools Abroad into your degree program. You should also discuss your options with Jen Holguin, the study abroad advisor in the Center for Advising & Career Services.
You can begin an application on Middlebury's website. At the bottom of the page, you will see a link that reads, "Begin your application by selecting a program here." Find your program, click "Apply Now", and click the button indicating you are a Middlebury Institute student to access the internal application. The entire application process is online.
In addition to an essay and passport copy, there are a few materials required to complete the application:
- Language evaluation--to be completed by the program coordinator of your language department
- Major advisor approval--to be completed by your CACS advisor
Working with your advisor, you will request pre-approval for transfer of courses towards your language requirements and/or degree-program requirements.
Institute applications for Middlebury Schools Abroad are due by March 15th for Fall programs and October 1st for Spring programs.
