Encyclopedia of Global Human Migration
Published in 2012, this Wiley publication covers the history of migration.

The JSTOR collection is an online collection of scholarly journals in the social sciences, humanities and ecology. JSTOR focuses on older or archival collections.  The current 3-5 years of issues are not available.

LexisNexis Academic Universe
LexisNexis covers over 6,000 news, business and legal sources. You'll find full text articles from newspapers, magazines and wire services including non-English language sources. Search the business category for company profiles, financial reports, directory information, and accounting literature. The legal search includes full text articles from law journals, state and federal regulations.

PAIS International
An index to magazines, journals, books and government documents in the fields of public affairs. Abstracts with links to full text of some journal articles. Covers 1915 to present.

ProQuest Central
A good database for research on any topic. ProQuest Central searches academic journals, magazines, newspapers and dissertations with a high percentage of full text content.

Institute for the Study of International Migration

Integrated Public Use Microdata Series - International
Census data from around the world. The data is freely available but registration is necessary.

Inter-University Committee on International Migration
A research collaboration between several large universities in the U.S. including Harvard, Boston University and MIT. Working papers from committee-sponsored seminars and workshops are available through this website.

International Organization for Migration
With 120 member states, the IOM is the major international organization in the field of migration. Through the website, users may download reports and newsletters.

Migration Dialogue
An international migration research project based at UC Davis that publishes the online newsletters Migration News and Rural Migration News. The Changing Face project focuses on migrant issues in rural America.

Migration Policy Institute
A nonpartisan think tank that conducts research on migration issues. Many publications of MPI are available through this site, including the online journal Migration Information Source.

Migration Research at PRIO
Research publications of the International Peace Research Institute in Oslo. Most publications have abstract only, but a few papers may be downloaded for free.
