Peter Liu

Library Director

Peter Liu has been the Library Director at the William Tell Coleman Library since 2001.  Prior to working at the Monterey Institute of International Studies, Peter was a librarian at the University of Delaware and at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

In addition to overseeing the library's daily operation, Peter is active in professional organizations and the local community.  He is a member of the Chinese American Librarians Association, an affiliate of the American Library Association.  Since 2008, Peter has served on the board of the Statewide California Electronic Library Association (SCELC).  He also volunteers with a local nonprofit organization that focuses on the alleviation of poverty through international education.
